Extruder Screw Supply & Repair

High Efficiency
Low Cost
The Repaired Screw Can Achieve
The Same Performance As a New One.

The quality of the cooperative operation between the screw and barrel ofan extruder has a profound impact on the plasticization degree of rubbercompounds, the quality of finished products, and the overall productionefficiency.

When the screw rotates inside the barrel, friction is generated between thescrew and the rubber compound, leading to a gradual reduction in thescrew diameter and a gradual increase in the inner hole diameter of thebarrel. This wear causes a gradual enlargement of the matching diametergap between the screw and the barrel, which in turn increases thebackflow of rubber compounds and reduces the extruder output. At thesame time, the extended residence time of the rubber compound in thebarrel makes it prone to decomposition, which can corrode the screw andbarrel.

For screws whose diameter has been reduced due to wear,
MASS adopts the method of thermal spraying wear-re-sistant alloy for repair,
followed by grinding to the appropriate size.
